September 5, 2022 is Labor Day! 

The Melcher-Dallas Public Library will be closed on Labor Day, 2022. 

We will resume regular hours on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 11 a.m.  

The Melcher-Dallas Public Library will be hosting Linda McCann on September 23, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. She is the author of several books but will be speaking on her book entitled Civilian Conservation Corps in Northeast Iowa


Car Meet, Friday, September 3rd, 6-8PM, at D&S.

They are meeting for supper and fellowship. Planned by the Mustang Club in Pella, but all cars are welcome!



September Friday Nights will be busy with football games...

Please check out the flyer below and make plans to eat at the Football Suppers prior to the home games! Some of the proceeds from the supper will benefit your Melcher-Dallas Public Library!  It's a win for Everyone!!

At the Melcher-Dallas Public Library, library cards are FREE!  With your library card you will be able to check out books and movies!  We also have an online library, Bridges Overdrive, which is available for your use once you have a library card.  Reading is great for relaxation, learning, or helping your child hone their reading skills! 

Start exploring your library today...with a FREE library card!  To access Bridges Overdrive you will need your patron number found on your library card.  But first select Melcher-Dallas Public Library from the library drop down box.  Next, your patron number is your password...but...enter P then 0 plus your patron number.  The following link will take you to Bridges Overdrive.  Please contact the library at 641-947-6700 if you encounter any problems logging into the site.
