Come Craft with Me!

Currently, no craft projects are planned.

We look forward to seeing you, when we resume our Come Craft with Me events this fall.

There is a chance that we will resume our Come Craft with Me nights starting in October.

Stop back by as I will post information as plans are finalized.

Planned Closures and More!

In September, the library will be closed September 2nd and September 14th.

The library will close at 2 p.m. on the following dates, to help prepare the Football Supper Entrees:
September 6th, 20th, and October 4th, 2024.

Melcher-Dallas pregame football suppers(free will donations)

are on the menu for home games!

September 6: chili or vegetable beef soup

September 20: chili or cheesy potato soup (Homecoming)

October 4: chili or ham and beans with cornbread

Also serving: hot dogs, chili dogs, and beef-burgers, tea, lemonade, coffee, water, and deserts

serving between 5-7 p.m. Pierschbacher Funeral home...previously the Methodist Church...

News of Interest to the Community!

Farmers Market every Tuesday, from 4-6 p.m. located on the west side of the Melcher-Dallas square (park) Questions may be addressed to Sara at 641-891-3369 or Mike at 641-891-2954
The first Wednesday of every month is Pizza Lunch at the Senior Center. Cost is $4, and sides are available to share. 11:30 a.m. Please call the day before or by 10 a.m. the day of, so that they know how much pizza they need to order. 641-891-7009 0r 641-947-4911 You may bring a dish to share but it is not required. Everyone is welcome to this monthly event.
Food Trucks every Friday evening, from 5-8 p.m. located on the square. This gives you a choice of supper with our local D&S Kitchen which is open till 8 p.m. and serving nightly specials until 7 p.m., supporting our Football Suppers that help support our library which are served between 5-7 p.m., or the food trucks for something different.

Melcher Dallas Notification/Alert System Launched

For several months now, City Staff have been working to set up a Notification/Alert System to allow better communication with our residents. This system is hosted by Everbridge. Now, critical alerts about our water supply, community events, or other important information can be sent out quickly so everyone can stay informed. We have set up a web page “Stay Informed with Alerts” with links that will allow you to sign up and learn more information about the Notifications and Alerts. There will be more information sent out with your water bill this month. Please spread the word so your neighbors can stay informed as well.
